Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 - Belfast
Journey to Clonmacnoise, an early Christian site founded by St. Ciaran. Clonmacnoise dates back to the 9th century and is home to the ruins of a cathedral, seven churches, two round towers and the largest collection of early Christian headstones in Europe. Next, stop in the nearby town of Athlone to enjoy free time for lunch before continuing on to Northern Ireland. Later today, arrive in Belfast.

Day 2 - Belfast
On your guided tour of Belfast, you’ll glimpse the copper-domed city hall, the shipbuilding docks where the Titanic was constructed and the recently restored Grand Opera House. Belfast’s long history—from the Bronze Age to its rise as an international seaport, from its role in the conflict known as The Troubles to the town’s love for its favorite son, the soccer player George Best—will be on display. This afternoon is free for you to explore Northern Ireland’s capital on your own.
