Weather
Germany:
Germany is fairly temperate, and warm weather extends from May through October. Winters are generally wet but not heavily snowy. There is no defined rainy season.
Switzerland:
The drastically differing altitudes result in varying climates. The south has a Mediterranean climate, but most of the country is temperate. The mountain tops are snow-covered year-round, but much of the mountain snow begins to melt around April.
Austria:
Most of the country has a moderate central European climate (warm summers, very cold winters), although the temperature varies depending on the altitude. Remember that the sun is especially intense at high altitudes.
