The speakers

I was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina. After living in various cities of the former Yugoslavia due to my parent's professional engagements (Sarajevo, Kotor, Split, Belgrade), at the age of nineteen I transferred to Rome, Italy where I stayed till 2003, with temporary residing in England and in Russia in order to continue studies. Currently I am based in Rijeka, Croatia. For the past 25 years I have made part of EF Go Ahead Tours leading tours all over Europe, but specializing in Italian and Balkan tours. Several years ago I became a licensed Local Tourist Guide and Certified Interpretative Guide (trained to foster and enhance discovery of Croatian National Heritage) for the three Croatian Counties closest to Slovenian and Italian border.

My name is Maša, I was born in Croatia and during my 35 years of life so far, I have lived in 4 out of 6 former Yugoslav contries; thus being aware of what ethnic and cultural differences mean and how important they can be. My passions are traveling, discovering new places, cultures and food and sharing all of this with you! I've started working with EF almost 10 years ago and ever since, I've felt that my mission in life is to learn and travel, and I love working for a company that encourages me to do so. I speak English and Italian fluently and some Spanish. I´m very excited to welcome you on tour and I'm sure it will be an unforgettable experience!
