The speakers

Hi, my name is David. I have been a tour director with EF since 1989. With EF Go Ahead I mainly lead Italy and specialized WWI / WWII tours. I am English but have been living in Italy for 25 years, previously after growing up in the UK, I lived in Germany, Yugoslavia and the US. At university, I studied Psychology. My interests are travel, History, sports, cooking and Physics, which I am studying at the moment.

Hello, my name is Ione Kerr. I was born and raised in Italy in a small medieval town nearby Rome. My father is Italian and my mother is a New Zealander. I have been traveling and living abroad for many years during my youth and I strongly believe in the importance of getting to know and understand different cultures and people since a very young age. I have been working for EF since 2011 and I think I will never get tired of doing this job. I am very proud to be a tour director and I am grateful for the many opportunities of learning, traveling and growing this job offers to me. Travel opens our mind and is fun - and when we have fun we learn, we grow and we connect deeper with ourselves and the world around us.

Associate Director of Market Innovation & Development, is based out of our Boston office and has been with EF for six years. In his current role he oversees all customized tours, monitors the latest travel trends, and helps to design tour experiences across the Go Ahead portfolio. His first ever tour with EF was to Paris, Normandy, Brittany Coast & the Loire Valley and he has had a passion for world war history travel ever since. He has traveled to over 40 countries so far, and can’t wait to get back out exploring as soon as possible!
