Booking Conditions for EF Go Ahead Online Escapes

EF Go Ahead Online Escapes (referenced below as Online Escapes) are an online-only offering and are not an in-person experience and subject to the separate booking conditions listed here, where applicable.
The tour operator for your Online Escape is EF Education First International Ltd. Selnaustrasse 30, 8001 Zurich, Switzerland, organization number: CHE-109.874.655, VAT number CHE-116.325.678 MWST. EF Institute for Cultural Exchange Ltd. is an affiliate of EF Education First International Ltd. and acts only as a marketing provider for that company. EF Institute for Cultural Exchange Ltd. does not provide any goods or services for your trip. The services provided are tax-exempt with credit in accordance with Swiss Federal Law with regard to Value-Added Tax Art. #23. In the following text EF Education First International Ltd. and EF Institute for Cultural Exchange Ltd. are together referred to as “EF Go Ahead Tours,” “Go Ahead Tours” or “GAT.”
Reserving your Online Escape
Bookings for Online Escapes are accepted online only through the online portal. Online Escapes may be reserved once available for purchase on the website and must be paid in full at the time of booking. Payment is accepted by credit card (MasterCard or Visa) or debit card. Bookings are accepted up until 15 minutes prior to the start of an Online Escape. Space for most Online Escapes is limited, and we do not accept waitlist reservations at this time. Go Ahead or other EF Future Travel Vouchers are not valid for payment on Online Escapes. GAT Club Go experience credits or tour credits are not valid for payment on Online Escapes. Gift cards and EF Global Rewards Points are not valid for payment on Online Escapes. Enrollment in an Online Escape indicates acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
Refunds & Cancellations for Online Escapes
Online Escapes bookings are fully cancelable online and refundable up until 24 hours prior to the start of the Online Escape. After that point, 100% of the price paid is non-refundable. However, reservations are fully transferrable to others; sharing of Zoom login information is the responsibility of the customer and GAT is not responsible for any issues with transferred login information. Any refunds given within the valid refund window will be processed back to the original form of payment and may take up to 2-3 weeks to process. GAT Travel Protection is not offered for purchase on Online Escapes nor is existing travel coverage valid for Online Escapes.
Pricing for Online Escapes
Prices for Online Escapes are based on single-use login. Multiple viewers on the same computer do not need to pay additional fees. Up-to-date pricing can be found on the website and is subject to change at any time. Pricing includes a unique Zoom login to join the Online Escape, but does not include any materials, props, or ingredients needed to participate in the Online Escape. Any discounts or promotions offered will be subject to specific terms and conditions for that offer.
All amounts are shown in Canadian dollars unless otherwise noted.
Participants in Online Escapes will receive a unique, single-use Zoom login to participate in the scheduled Online Escape. Participants must have access to a computer with reliable internet access. While video capabilities aren’t required to participate, it is strongly encouraged that participants have working video and audio functionality. System requirements to operate Zoom are available here: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362023-System-Requirements-for-PC-Mac-and-Linux. Technological problems are not the responsibility of GAT and refunds will not be issued due to login issues.
Joining an Online Escape
Online Escapes are for live, online, interactive sessions at set times that are pre-booked. All times listed are local to the user. Participants may join an Online Escape at any time during the scheduled session, but are not entitled to any refunds should they join late or not at all. If applicable, any materials or preparation needed will be listed in the Online Escape description and it is the participant’s responsibility to obtain required items before the start of the session.
Online Escapes utilizes Zoom technology. GAT will provide unique, password-protected zoom IDs for participation in Online Escapes. Zoom is a third-party provider and GAT takes no responsibility for issues arising with Zoom systems. No audio or video recording of Online Escapes is permitted. GAT does not share participant details with hosts or with Zoom.
GAT will process your personal data in compliance with applicable data protection legislation for the purposes of completing your enrolment, customer service and providing you with the products and services related to your online escape. This may entail sharing your personal data with corporate affiliates and other business partners both within and outside of Canada, including but not limited to the U.S. and EEA/Switzerland. We have put appropriate safeguards in place for such transfers of your personal data, including the standard data protection clauses adopted by the European Commission and the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
We will only keep your personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purposes for which it has been collected or in accordance with time limits stipulated by law and good market practice, unless further retention is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
Online Escapes participation does not impact GAT Club Go level status or count towards other GAT benefits such as GC benefits or referral benefits. GAT reserves the right to cancel, adjust, or postpone any Online Escape due to technological issues, host conflicts, or low enrollment. In such cases, customers may choose to rebook for free or receive a full refund of money paid for that Online Escape. EF Go Ahead and the Online Escape hosts reserve the right to remove any participant from a session for disruptive and/or inappropriate behavior, in which case no refunds will be given.
