    EF Go Ahead Tours currently requires that all tour participants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must have proof of negative results for a COVID-19 test
    taken within 72-hours before departure. These requirements are in addition to any destination requirements listed below due to US Department of State and CDC guidance, the wellbeing of the group, and/or operational feasibility.

    Masks are mandatory in public

    Travelers must wear masks on public transport, airports and in shops. Distancing rules must be respected and travelers must cover their faces using a surgical mask or FFP2 (or similar) mask.

    No proof of negative COVID-19 test results for transitNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers are not required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result to make a transit connection in Germany. Travelers may need to present proof indicating they are allowed to enter their destination country.

    No proof of negative COVID-19 test results for vaccinated travelersNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to have negative COVID-19 test results before traveling to Germany.

    Mandatory proof of vaccinationNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Fully vaccinated travelers must have a vaccination certificate in paper or digital form. Proof of vaccination must be in German, English, French, Italian, or Spanish. Travelers must have received their last vaccine dose required no less than 14 days before the travel date. Vaccines accepted are Pfizer/Comirnaty, Johnson & Johnson/Janssen, Moderna, and AstraZeneca. Travelers who recovered from COVID-19 will be considered fully vaccinated after receiving a single dose of the above-accepted vaccines. Travelers must show proof that they were infected with COVID-19 prior to being vaccinated. Travelers that have received a combination of two different vaccines may still be considered fully vaccinated. Please check the link for more information on accepted vaccine combinations. Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof. Travelers unable to present a valid certificate may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers. This requirement does not apply to: -Travelers under the age of 12.

    Health pass may be required for indoor activitiesNEEDED ON ARRIVAL

    Travelers may be required to provide proof of vaccination, immunization, or negative COVID-19 test when visiting hospitals, nursing and care homes, and assisted living facilities for the disabled, as well as for access to indoor cafés and restaurants and at indoor events and celebrations, for personal care services, indoor sports and overnight accommodation. These documents are required in districts with COVID-19 incidence rates of 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants during the past 7 days.

    No visa requiredNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    To visit Germany for Business or Tourism, you do not require a visa. To check permitted length of stay and other entry requirements, visit the government site.

    No proof of a negative COVID-19 test results for transitNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers with flight connections in Canada to third countries are exempt from any COVID-19 test requirement as long as they remain in the international departure area.

    Masks are mandatory during travel and in some provinces

    Travelers must wear masks in all airports and in-flight. Travelers must also wear a mask in public in some provinces and cities. For more information about regional mask requirements, please check the source.

    Travelers who are fully vaccinated must have a vaccination certificate in English, French, or with a certified translation. The certificate must be uploaded digitally into the ArriveCAN app and must contain all details required. Fully vaccinated travelers must have received the full course of vaccination, or a combination of vaccines Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca (Covishield), or Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) at least 14 days before arrival in Canada. Travelers who have recovered from COVID-19 are still required to have a full course of one of the accepted vaccines to be considered fully vaccinated. Travelers unable to present a valid certificate may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers.

    Proof of negative COVID-19 test resultsNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 molecular test (PCR, RT-PCR, NAAT, LAMP) result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before the departure of their last direct flight to Canada. Antigen tests are not accepted. Travelers arriving via land border must provide a test taken a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in Canada.

    All travelers are required to submit a quarantine plan and a COVID-19 "self-assessment" a maximum of 72 hours before arrival. The information must be submitted digitally through the ArriveCAN app.
