    EF Go Ahead Tours currently requires that all tour participants be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and must have proof of negative results for a COVID-19 test
    taken within 72-hours before departure. These requirements are in addition to any destination requirements listed below due to US Department of State and CDC guidance, the wellbeing of the group, and/or operational feasibility.

    Masks are mandatory on public transportation

    Travelers must wear masks on public transportation in the United States. Some states still require the use of masks in public places, please verify the regional requirements before traveling.

    Proof of negative COVID-19 test resultsNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers must have an original printed or electronic negative COVID-19 viral test result (NAAT: RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, NEAR, HDA, or Antigen: Rapid). The test must be performed no more than 3 days before the first scheduled departure time in the flight itinerary. If a traveler’s flight is at 1 pm on a Friday, the traveler could board with a negative test that was taken any time on the prior Tuesday or after. Test results must include the traveler's full name and at least one other identifier such as date of birth or passport number. The test must also clearly state that the results are "negative," SARS-CoV-2 RNA not detected," SARS-CoV-2 antigen not detected," or "COVID-19 not detected." A test marked "invalid" is not acceptable. This requirement applies to all travelers, including US citizens, residents, and transit travelers, as well as travelers who have been vaccinated. Travelers may use a self-test (sometimes referred to as a home test) that meets the given criteria. Please check the source for more information. Some US states might have more strict rules regarding COVID-19 test types and where they must be administered. Please carefully review the rules prior to travel to each state.

    No Visa RequiredNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    You don't need a visa. You can travel to the United States for a limited stay. Make sure to check other entry requirements and how long you can stay for.

    Travelers must complete a travel attestation form before arrival. This form will be provided by the airline at check-in.

    No proof of a negative COVID-19 test results for transitNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers with flight connections in Canada to third countries are exempt from any COVID-19 test requirement as long as they remain in the international departure area.

    Masks are mandatory during travel and in some provinces

    Travelers must wear masks in all airports and in-flight. Travelers must also wear a mask in public in some provinces and cities. For more information about regional mask requirements, please check the source.

    Mandatory proof of vaccinationNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers who are fully vaccinated must have a vaccination certificate in English, French, or with a certified translation. The certificate must be uploaded digitally into the ArriveCAN app and must contain all details required. Fully vaccinated travelers must have received the full course of vaccination, or a combination of vaccines Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca (Covishield), or Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) at least 14 days before arrival in Canada. Travelers who have recovered from COVID-19 are still required to have a full course of one of the accepted vaccines to be considered fully vaccinated. Travelers unable to present a valid certificate may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers.

    Proof of negative COVID-19 test resultsNEEDED BEFORE ARRIVAL

    Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 molecular test (PCR, RT-PCR, NAAT, LAMP) result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before the departure of their last direct flight to Canada. Antigen tests are not accepted. Travelers arriving via land border must provide a test taken a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in Canada.

    All travelers are required to submit a quarantine plan and a COVID-19 "self-assessment" a maximum of 72 hours before arrival. The information must be submitted digitally through the ArriveCAN app.
