My Trip in 5 Photos: The grandeur of the French Riviera

Traveler Hannah W. recently spent 10 days basking in the beautiful scenery of Paris, Provence, and the French Riviera, following in the footsteps of the many artists who found inspiration there. Here, she shares her five favorite photos from tour.

“Cassis is a quaint fishing village famous for its cliffs called ‘calanques.’ It’s home to both fishing boats and the cute, colored boats pictured here.”

“Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild was once home to Beatrice de Rothschild, the wife of an esteemed banker. She built her villa surrounded by nine different gardens – Sevres Garden, Spanish Garden, French Garden, Florentine Garden, Stone Garden, Japanese Garden, Provençal Garden, Exotic Garden, and lastly, the Rose Garden.”

“The Principality of Monaco is not only home to the rich and famous (where they spend their leisure time on the beach), but to an additional 37,579 people. The streets were so quiet, it felt like being in a ghost town!”

“The Pont Du Gard is an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge. It is one if the world’s best-preserved examples of Roman ingenuity. The landscape around it is beautiful and you can to climb to the top of a nearby hill for this awesome view!”

“The Eiffel Tower is a the most iconic sight in Paris, France. Never have I experienced something so grand. Standing underneath it was breathtaking—and when it is lit up at night, it’s an even more stunning sight to see.”
