Hello, I'm Atto. I was born in Münster, Westphalia in former West Germany. As a young boy, growing up on a farm, I couldn’t travel but I always had a genuine wish to explore the world as much as possible.
Fortunately for me, traveling became my profession. After several successful years in different areas - from gardening to theatre and television - 15 years ago I discovered my true vocation: Being an EF/Go Ahead Tour Director. My colleagues and customers value my sense of humor, mediating skills, and positive attitude.
Nowadays I live in Berlin, in its former Eastern part, very close to where the wall used to divide the city. Therefore I have a keen interest in 20th century history and its social impact. I chose Berlin as my home place not least because it has a strong connection to history, geopolitics, and culture, it’s also a vibrant city on the map of Europe, a great starting point for my journeys throughout Germany, Europe and the rest of the world.
