Join Tour Director Miky at his home in Israel as he talks about the history of Hanukkah and all the ways locals in Haifa (and across the country!) celebrate their Hanukkah traditions. If you’ve ever found yourself wondering, "What is the meaning of the menorah?" or been curious about the storied roots of the Hanukkah celebration, Miky will cover that and so much more. Plus, what’s a Hanukkah celebration without some delicious food? Miky will talk about the many delicious treats popular with Israelis and how they connect back to the history of Hanukkah. Then, learn more about the tours we offer to this region.
Hello, my name is Miky. Native Israeli born, raised and educated in the coastal city of Haifa. 30 years ago I decided to finally follow my heart and leave my career in Mechanical Engineering and get my tour guiding license as I always had the passion to introduce the Holy Land to the travelers in its variety of cultures, religions, landscapes, colors and flavors.
I have been guiding tours for Go Ahead and EF for the last 15 years, specialized in Christian pilgrimage and culture tours to Israel.
I am always looking forward to the next day, where I can again share my passion of the Holy Land with travelers from around the world!
