How AutoPay works

If you want to plan a trip and pay monthly—and enjoy some sweet benefits—AutoPay’s for you.

See the things that set us apart

Link either a debit card or checking account, then pick a date that best fits your schedule. That’s when we’ll withdraw your interest-free monthly payments.

Put $99 down

And that’s it. This small up-front charge saves your spot on your tour of choice, locks in today’s prices, and starts paying down your balance. Not bad, right?

Plan without pressure

Review your itinerary, map out your free time, plan for your trip’s excursions and extension, and more: Your first payment won’t be due for 60 days after booking.

Fine-tune your trip

Add excursions, insurance, and other essentials post-booking—or trim what you don’t want. We’ll adjust your monthly payment for you so you stay on track.

Say bon voyage!

Set off on a life-changing, horizon-expanding adventure with peace of mind knowing that we’ve got you covered every step of the way.

I did AutoPay and made extra payments when I could. The monthly payment was always adjusted. ... It worked out great! They did the math and kept me accountable—win-win!

FAQs about our travel payment plans

How do I set up my payment plan?

Just pick your dream tour and head to your cart. You’ll have the ability to choose your preferred payment option during checkout.

What payment methods do you accept?

If you enroll in AutoPay, you can use a debit card or link a checking account. (You’ll see why in a second!) Our other plans allow you to use a MasterCard, Visa card, personal check, cashier’s check, or money order, at the expense of AutoPay’s core benefits.

Can I change my payment plan later?

Of course. You can change your monthly payment date, update your information, or switch to pay as you go (our Manual Payment Plan) at any time. You can do all that via your online account, but please note two things:

  1. If you’d like to change an upcoming automatic payment, make sure to do so at least two business days before your scheduled processing date. Otherwise, it’ll be impossible to cancel or move it.
  2. If you opt out of AutoPay and enroll in our Manual Payment Plan, you’ll have to pay the remainder of your tour’s reservation fee up front. Failure to do so could result in the cancellation of your tour and the assessment of applicable fees.

How do I make a payment?

With AutoPay, you won’t have to worry about making payments—we debit your account for you on a date of your choosing. If you’re enrolled in our Manual Payment Plan (or just want to put some extra money towards your trip to lower your monthly payment), head to the Payments & Invoice section of your online account.

Paying by check or money order? Call 1-800-597-0350. Be sure it’s made payable to EF World Journeys, Inc.

How much money do I have to put down?

That depends on the payment plan you choose. If you enroll in AutoPay, you only need to put $99 down. With our Manual Payment Plan, you’ll need to put either $300 or $450 down, depending on the tour.

If I enroll in AutoPay, will I be charged interest or other fees?

Nope! Since you’re paying with a debit card or checking account, AutoPay lets you avoid all of that. You also get some sweet extras, like no payments for up to 60 days and the ability to roll the cost of add-ons (e.g. flights and excursions) into your monthly payment.

FAQs about payment timelines

By enrolling in AutoPay, you can choose when we’ll automatically debit your account each month. Our Manual Payment Plan lets you decide your own schedule, but remember—you’ll have to make payments on your own. We won’t automatically charge you, so it’s up to you to ensure your balance is paid off by your Tour Finalization Date.

When is my full balance due?

If using our Manual Payment Plan, you’ll have until your Tour Finalization Date to pay off your balance.

AutoPay gives you more time. You’ll have until 30 days before departure to settle up.

What’s the Tour Finalization Date?

Essentially, it’s when everything gets confirmed for your departure. For most tours, this falls 70 days prior to departure—however, there are exceptions. For the following tours, it’s 90 days prior to departure:

  • Land & Cruise Tours
  • Customized Tours
  • Ancestry Tours
  • Tours that include a ride aboard the Rocky Mountaineer train

To confirm your specific Tour Finalization Date, head to the Booking Policies section of your online account.

What’s the Fully Refundable Booking Period?

Your Fully Refundable Booking Period is the timeframe in which you can cancel your reservation and receive a full refund. Provided you also cancel before your Tour Finalization Date, those windows are as follows:

  • 60 days after booking for travelers who enroll in AutoPay
  • 60 days after booking for travelers who pay in full
  • 72 hours after booking for all other travelers

After your Fully Refundable Booking Period ends, you’ll still have several options for modifying your reservation. Those who enroll in AnyReason Protection will receive a future travel voucher for the amount of any cancellation fees and will be refunded their remaining balance, minus the cost of your travel protection package.
