Two sought-after countries. Twice the cultural cachet.

On the global pop culture scene, South Korea’s star has steadily risen in recent years. That’s thanks in part to sensationally popular Korean TV shows and films, foods, beauty trends, and pop bands that have taken the world by storm—and piqued travelers’ curiosity about the country in the process. Korea’s easterly neighbor, Japan, offers up rich history, cultural immersion, and impeccable hospitality that’s always in high demand. Spend two weeks getting to know these neighboring Asian nations, from their neon-lit cities to their rural villages to their serene, natural landscapes. If you want to venture a little farther off the beaten path, extend your tour and explore Hokkaido, Japan’s mountainous, northernmost island.

The tour was nice. I really enjoyed the time in South Korea and learned so much about the history and culture. Japan was very hot in the summer, but I still enjoyed the exploration and sites we visited.

My two teenagers and I went to Seoul and Japan. They said it was the best trip of their lives and it was a great way to reward them for working so hard in high school. Our tour guides Julie in Korea and Shinya in Japan took such great care of us. I loved how the tour also...

I enjoyed the tour guides and the tour stops very much. The luggage being unavailable for a day, on more than one occasion, secondary to travel by train, needed to have been much better prepared for and coordinated. There was no warning prior to announcement in Fukuoka and...

Trip was good. Both countries were very beautiful. The Korean War Museum and cemetery , Temples, and Nagasaki were interesting. However I was disappointed that the excursion to the DMZ was canceled. Didn't necessarily care for their cuisine.

Too much movement. Changing hotels, packing and repacking. Up to two days before luggage arrives. Early tours. Tour guides are not interested in their jobs and working with people. The best guide was the one at the airport coming home. She never left us until she knew we were...
