Israel is a religious place, so most establishments are fairly modest. You’ll want to bring some modest clothing to wear in main areas like Jerusalem, as well as in temples or churches. Women should pack a shawl or sweater to cover their heads and shoulders as well as a skirt or dress that hits below their knees. Men should bring pants and a shirt that covers their shoulders, too.
