One-week tours

Our weeklong tours typically range from 7-9 days, including travel days. This gives you 5-7 full days of exploration—the perfect amount of time to experience a destination without feeling rushed. You’ll get a balance of sightseeing, group activities, and time to yourself. Generally sandwiched between weekends, our one-week tours allow working professionals to maximize time-off requests and make the most of vacation time.

Every Go Ahead tour includes comfortable accommodations, many meals, transportation between destinations, guided sightseeing with local experts, and the expertise of a full-time Tour Director. You’ll also enjoy special experiences unique to each itinerary, like cooking classes, wine tastings, or cultural performances. Even better, you’ll have scheduled free time, so you can explore on your own or personalize your trip by adding optional excursions and experiences.

Absolutely! Weeklong tours are ideal for first-time international travelers. They offer a manageable time commitment while still providing an immersive experience. Plus, having a Tour Director and group support makes navigating a new country much easier. We completely understand that as a first-time traveler, you might not know what to expect on a tour,—so a weeklong trip can be a great introduction to travel without taking you away from home for too long.

Yes! Many of our weeklong tours offer optional extensions that add 2-3 days to your trip. You can explore additional cities or regions at the beginning or end of your tour. For example, on our A Week in Italy: Venice, Florence & Rome tour, you can stay an additional two nights on the sunny Sorrento Peninsula. On our A Week in Switzerland, Germany & Austria tour, you can extend your trip to an elegant European jewel—Prague.

We believe in balance. You’ll have guided experiences to ensure you don't miss your destination’s must-see highlights, plus free time to explore on your own, relax, or pursue personal interests like checking out a special restaurant or museum. Your Tour Director can always offer recommendations for your free time.

Our weeklong tours are designed to be comprehensive and rich, but not exhausting. We carefully plan routes to minimize long travel days, so you can spend more time at each destination.

Activity levels vary by tour, so check your specific itinerary to find the right fit. You can find weeklong trips that have a moderate activity level, like our A Week in France: The Riviera, Provence & Paris tour, or others with a high activity level, like our A Week in Greece: Athens, Mykonos & Santorini trip.

Most of our weeklong tours visit 3-5 destinations, allowing you to experience different cities or regions while maintaining a comfortable pace that doesn’t feel rushed.
