With our team working from home, we’ve been looking for ways to stay connected—and stay inspired! Browsing the halls of some world-famous museums on thanks to Google Arts & Culture just happens to be a new favorite activity for more than a few of us.

There are over 2,500 museums to explore—as our Project Manager Elaina said, "SO MANY!! How to choose??!" So, to help you get started, here are our team's picks of museums to explore online.

The Isabella Stewart Gardener Museum, Boston

"It’s got beautiful paintings, amazing architecture, and mysterious unsolved crime… what more could you want out of a museum visit, even online?" — Courtney

Uffizi Gallery, Florence

"I got to visit when I studied abroad in Florence but it's far too big to see the whole thing in one trip. So, looking online is a chance to take more time and see work I never got to see in person." — Jamie M.

The Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam

"Most people think of Van Gogh as just sunflowers or self-portraits, but he did so much more." — Amanda

"The virtual tour reminds me of my previous trip there! It’s really cool to learn about his life and how it shaped his art." — Meghan

Anne Frank House, Amsterdam

"I visited the Anne Frank House during a trip to Amsterdam in 2008 (fun fact—it was the first place I traveled to internationally!) Digitally touring the house and revisiting the family's history brings back memories of my first trip abroad and what it felt like to experience a new culture and country for the first time." — Emily

Natural History Museum, London

"I’m not an art person, so this is perfect for me. They have tons of cool exhibits of all kinds of nature on display online—including a whole whale skeleton!" — Paula

Img

The Musée d’Orsay, Paris

"The building itself in the middle of Paris is a gorgeous former train station, and it’s got an amazing collection of late 19th-century art. Clicking through online is almost as good as being there!" — Courtney

Georgia O’Keefe Museum, Santa Fe

"Her work inspired me to be an artist from a young age. Seeing her paintings and drawings—in person or online!—always gives me a renewed sense of creativity." — Elaina

Museo Frida Kahlo, Mexico City

"Exploring Frida and Diego’s home was one of the highlights of my time in Mexico City. I love that I can go back to look at Frida’s art now and take a little (imaginary) stroll through her beautiful, sunny courtyard." — Jamie B.
